Weekly Menu Planner

July 23, 2015 By Julie Anne Leave a Comment

weekly menu planner

I have been working on establishing better eating habits for my kids this past week. My kids are grazers and would rather snack throughout the day then sit and have a meal.

However, this has become a problem because when they grab a snack whenever they want then when meal time comes they aren’t hungry.  Then a couple hours later when they do feel hungry they want another snack.

So to remedy this I have started planning out snacks and meals and scheduling them routinely throughout the day. This has been working really well because by having set eating times it has not only ensured that they are hungry when I provide them with food but has allowed me to plan ahead what I will be serving them.

When they are grabbing themselves snacks throughout the day they aren’t typically the most health options. With this planner, I can plan to make sure the food they are getting throughout the day is nutritious and well rounded.

So far it has been working great. My kids have been eating much better at meal time and have been less picky about eating what’s served to them. I wish I would have started planning and limiting snacking years ago.
